Amber Essential Oil

Commonly known as tree resin that preserves and fossilizes ancient organisms, amber can be turned into an essential oil by heating up and melting the solid resin until it becomes a liquid. This allows its aroma to be released – a warmer, more smoky scent that has obvious hints of floral or citrus.
In aromatherapy, amber essential oil is used to calm the mind and improve sleep quality. You can diffuse it while meditating or when going about your nightly routine to take advantage of these benefits. The aroma may also act as an aphrodisiac and improve memory or cognitive function.
When applied topically to the skin (this should be done by mixing a small amount of amber essential oil with a carrier oil or lotion), amber essential oil has anti-inflammatory effects.
