Thuja Essential Oil

Reminiscent of eucalyptus oil (but slightly sweeter), thuja oil comes from the thuja tree and is most known for its ability to cleanse and disinfect. Historically, thuja oil has been used by Native Americans for ceremonial and medicinal purposes, which is why it is also referred to as ‘Grandmother Cedar’.
Thuja’s more common name is cedar leaf, and it is said to have detoxifying, antibacterial and anti-astringent qualities, making it beneficial for skin health. Thuja oil can also ward off insects or be added to a diffuser or oil burner.
Thuja has a strong scent and pairs best with cedarwood, neroli, geranium, tangerine, mandarin, lavender, and pine needle essential oils.
