Lemon Oil for Face

Lemon oil is a powerful antimicrobial that’s gentle enough for use on your face, making it an excellent natural tool against acne. It has a light, refreshing aroma just like the citrus fruit that it’s named for.

Because of its antimicrobial, antibacterial, and astringent properties, lemon oil makes an excellent facial cleanser. For best results, use lemon oil only once a day before going to bed. If you have sensitive skin, start with once every few days to ensure you won’t cause irritation. Always dilute lemon oil with a carrier before applying it to your skin.

Lemon oil can also help with acne scarring and hyperpigmentation by lightening your skin a few shades. Because of this, it’s important to avoid direct contact with the sun for 12 hours after applying lemon oil.
