Helichrysum italicum is a dense bush characterized by narrow, silvery-gray leaves and bright yellow flowers. With an aroma strongly reminiscent of curry, this plant is often called “the curry plant”; however, its Latin name actually means “immortal”, which is why it is also commonly referred to as the “everlasting flower”.

Native to areas such as southern Europe and the Mediterranean, helichrysum essential oil is made by steam-distilling the stems, leaves and flowers, imbuing it with powerful herbaceous and floral notes. Today it is used widely in cosmetics and beauty products, and historically helichrysum has been used therapeutically for thousands of years in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

So far I really like this oil. It has a sweet fragrance and I add just a drop to my lotion and the fragrance lasts all day.
