If you want to use citronella oil to treat dandruff, you should mix a few drops of the oil into your shampoo or a carrier oil and apply it daily. Make sure to rinse out the shampoo or oil after each use. For dry hair, add a few drops of citronella oil into your conditioner each time you use it.


To create a hydrating hair mask, mix several drops of citronella oil with your favorite premade hair mask or a hydrating carrier oil (such as coconut) and apply it liberally to damp hair. Let the mask sit on your hair for 5 to 15 minutes and then rinse off. Repeat this process one to two times a week for best results.

Hydrated hair

My hair is much more hydrated, that is evident, but my scalp isn't getting the same results. Maybe with continuous use that will change though.

Anti-frizz

I straighten my hair very often, think almost every day, sometimes twice. My hair is properly damaged after years of doing this. Citronella hair has helped with hydrating it and also eliminate most of the frizziness.
