Cedarwood Oil For Sleep

Rated 5.0 out of 5
Based on 3 reviews

Cedarwood essential oil is a favorite for promoting deep sleep and relaxing stress or anxieties. When inhaled, a chemical compound in the oil called cedrol results in a sedative effect. This can be very helpful for those with insomnia or someone who struggles to fall asleep.

To use cedarwood oil for sleep, you should diffuse a few drops of it along with a small amount of distilled water. Use it in your bedroom at night to encourage rest. You can also add a few drops into a hot bath or at the bottom of your shower at night to promote calm and relaxation before you go to bed.

Another easy way to receive cedarwood oil’s benefits is to place a few drops onto a clean washcloth or towel and tuck it under your pillow at night. This way, you can breathe the calming scent as you fall asleep and throughout the night.

Made sleeping late possible

I was famous in my circle for being up at ungodly hours every day, even when I had nothing to do. What I came to realize, is that that wasn't necessarily a positive thing. Thanks to cedarwood oil I can sleep until mid-morning sometimes on my days off, and I had no idea sleeping late could feel so good.

Average sleep hours increased

I'm so glad I track everything, including my sleep. Before using cedarwood oil I was sleeping around six hours every night, and now after three months of using it I sleep close to eight.

Sleep aid

I am no stranger to using essential oils to help me sleep, in fact, I've been using lavender and chamomile for years. And those are great, don't get me wrong, but I have converted to cedarwood and won't ever look back. It helps me get to sleep and sleep peacefully like the others, but it also affects my mental state a lot and I worry a lot less. All the negative emotions I associate with bedtime were finally addressed and put to sleep - pardon the pun.
