For best results, apply carrot seed oil at night or 12 hours before you plan on going in the sun. Carrot seed oil can give your skin heightened sun sensitivity, so it’s important to avoid sun exposure right after using.


Carrot seed oil needs to be diluted in a carrier oil before being applied topically because of its potency. Put a few drops in your favorite night cream, or mix it with rosehip oil to make your own skin serum!


Carrot seed oil is derived from the wild carrot plant, which looks a lot different than the carrots in our veggie drawers! Wild carrot’s flowers are called Queen Anne’s Lace, the seeds of which are what makes carrot seed oil. However, carrot seed oil does still retain the earthy and sweet aroma of roasted carrots.
