Seabuckthorn Seed Oil Fun Facts

Sea Buckthorn is widely recognized by its popular monikers, including "Wonder Plant," "Golden Bush," or even "Gold Mine."

This oil was once used in creams to treat radiation burns in Russian cosmonauts.

Seabuckthorn is sometimes called the "Holy Fruit of the Himalayas" because it thrives at high altitudes in the Himalayan region.

What is Seabuckthorn Seed Oil?

Seabuckthorn Seed Oil originates from the Hippophae rhamnoides plant, with roots tracing back to ancient Greece. This resilient plant has also flourished across various regions, including Europe and Central Asia.

In ancient Greece, sea-buckthorn was treasured for its ability to enhance the appearance of horses' coats, making them shinier. The fruit was also recognized as a valuable food source rich in vitamins and nutrients beneficial for both humans and animals.

Derived from the seeds of the fruit, Seabuckthorn Seed Oil is renowned for its nourishing fatty acids that moisturize the skin's barrier and enhance its natural radiance. This is why it's frequently added to cosmetic formulations, such as facial serums and body moisturizers, to promote skin hydration and a attractive complexion.
