Neem Oil for Powdery Mildew

Powdery mildew is one of the most common plant diseases that you may find in your garden. However, instead of using a store-bought treatment for this problem, you can substitute neem oil for a  more natural and less toxic remedy. Neem oil acts as a fungicide and an insecticide, allowing it to protect your plants and kill the fungus creating powdery mildew in the first place.

To use, combine several drops of neem oil with a cup of water and a small amount of mild dish soap in a spray bottle. Mix thoroughly and apply it to the top and underside of plant leaves that are affected by the powdery mildew.

You may also want to add the oil to the soil around your plants. Reapply neem oil every other day for two weeks to fully remove the powdery mildew.
