Oregano Oil For Skin

Rated 4.8 out of 5
Based on 12 reviews

Oregano oil is extracted from the oregano plant and is used to support the appearance of radiant skin. What makes oregano oil desirable is its ability to support the appearance of hydrated skin.

Oregano oil for skin is also aromatic with a herbaceous and warm scent that can help with your focus by creating an uplifting atmosphere. You can use oregano oil with carrier oils and skin care products to enjoy its various benefits.

Ready to Use Blend

We offer oregano essential oil in a ready-to-use blend. This means that the oil from the oregano plant has been mixed with a carrier oil. You can apply this blend topically, mix it with moisturizer, or even use it in an aroma diffuser to improve the way your home smells.

Ready-to-use blends tend to be the simplest way to use oregano oil because you don't have to worry about finding other oils to mix it with.

Undiluted - Mix with Carrier Oil

In its undiluted state, oregano oil should not be applied to your skin. Instead, you'll need to add the oregano oil to a carrier oil. The best ratio for this tends to be one to two drops of oregano essential oil for every teaspoon of carrier oil.

Before you apply oregano oil to your body or face, start with a patch test by applying it to a small area first. If you notice any skin irritation after applying it, then you'll want to avoid oregano oil and switch to another oil instead.

How to Mix Oregano Oil for Skin

Because oregano oil is highly potent, mix just 1 drop with a teaspoon (5 mL) of carrier oil like olive or avocado oil for spot treatments. Avoid sensitive areas and always do a patch test. For body use, a 0.5–1% dilution is typically safest due to its strength.
