Rosemary Oil for Skin

Rated 4.5 out of 5
Based on 2 reviews

Rosemary oil is a favorite in cosmetics and can provide a number of benefits to the skin. Most notably, rosemary oil is used to treat acne and combat oily skin. It acts as a toner when applied topically and can improve pore appearance while anti-fungal properties treat any type of bacteria on the skin.

To use rosemary oil to treat acne, you should mix several drops of the oil with a non-comedogenic carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil, and then apply to the skin. Leave the mixture on for 10 to 20 minutes and then rinse off. This should be done daily to fight blemishes, skin redness, and skin irritation caused by eczema.

Rosemary oil can also increase circulation, leading to reduced signs of aging on the skin. Simply massage a few drops of rosemary oil combined with a carrier oil onto the affected areas of your skin once a day for help with wrinkles, fine lines, and skin puffiness.

Lightened dark spots

My most affected areas by darkening are the armpits and back of the neck, but there's barely a difference anymore since I started mixing rosemary oil with my moisturizing lotion.

Heals sunburns

I thought that since rosemary oil can help with burns it could help protect me from the sun, so I mixed it with my sunscreen. It did not keep me from burning, but it helped make the pain manageable and heal faster.
