Chamomile essential oil has a reputation for being soothing and anti-inflammatory, which makes it a great choice for use on your face. It can calm down angry skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes, in addition to stopping skin irritation or redness. It may be helpful in the treatment of rosacea.


To use chamomile oil on your face, you can add a few drops into your favorite non-comedogenic carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil, and then massage this onto your favorite in the morning. You may also use it to spot treat areas of acne or redness. Leave the mixture on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes depending on your tolerance and then rinse it off.


You may also want to add several drops of chamomile oil to a warm washcloth and then lay the cloth over your face for a moment or two. This will create steam that opens up your pores, allowing your skin to receive benefits from the chamomile oil and you to breathe in the relaxing scent.

Lightened my face

I grew out of artificial tanning but my skin was left with some stains that I've been through hell to try and get rid of. Chamomile tea lightened my whole face, making my complexion even and eliminating any stains.
